Partnerships not unlike families are also formulated on the same lines with the promise of trust, growth, mutual respect and most importantly equality. We at Porter understand this equation and live to bring it to life. Our vision has from the beginning been to bring about sustainable growth for us and our partners alike, helping them to, in this process, fuel their entrepreneurial spirit.
In the spirit of promoting a holistic relationship between us and our partners Porter began a Rewards and Recognition Program (R&R) in 2017. The aim of this is to salute and celebrate our dedicated partners by not only giving them monetary incentives but also health insurance (on-call doctors, subsidized medicines etc.)and scholarships for their children to promote a wholesome growth cycle. By bringing about growth, health and security for their families we are assured that this cycle of positive change that we promote is sustained and passed-on to the next generation.
We recently conducted the 2nd R&R Program for our driver partners in magnificent events held simultaneously in Bangalore, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad and Delhi NCR. More than 1000 driver partners attended the event with their families per city respectively. These events are conducted biannually and function on a point based system with points being calculated per 5 star rating.
These events usually have agendas to help partners, such as health camps,workshops, drives etc to bring out 360 degree growth. The incentives for partners who earn the highest reward points include prizes ranging from home appliances to Gold coins with the top performer going home with the bumper prize of a Honda Activa. A total of 500+top performing partner from our network across all the cities were awarded during the course of the event.
Pranav, CEO and Co-Founder shared his vision about the R&R saying “Porter wants to create an Eco-system wherein we touch upon different aspects of our partner drivers’ life apart from improved economics. R&R is to acknowledge and reward our driver partners who are consistently doing good work. This is to create and promote a culture of pride among our partners by ensuring a superior service to our customers in association with Porter. We want to establish Porter as a partner of choice and build a partnership of mutual trust and respect.”
“Along with the R&R Programs, Porter has also introduced scholarship support for the children of our driver partners. Partners whose children get 70% Marks in 10th & +2 receive 11,000 Rupees and children scoring above 90% get Laptop and 11,000 rupees as scholarship support. It is our honor to help and support these children in receiving appropriate support and help for educating themselves and building a prosperous future,” added Pranav Goel.
A lot of laughter, love and happiness was shared at the event. Venkatswamy, our winner hero from Bangalore upon receiving his Yamaha Activa said “I am happy that I got a platform like Porter where working hard is appreciated and rewarded. Porter has brought stability and helped shed light on my work. I am delighted that my hard work is not only being compensated economically but also being recognized by a noteworthy platform like Porter. Thank you for the honour!”
Our R&R hero from Hyderabad Venakata Naresh shared, “I come from a small village in Hyderabad. I had received a gift at the last event but this year I wanted to be the winner so I put in all my efforts to get to the top. This kind of appreciation and rewards are new for me but I am happy and thankful to Porter for recognizing my hard work and showing me such immense respect as a driver partner.”
The success of Lalit Saini, the winner from Delhi is a testimony to Porter’s empowering idea. He thanked Porter for the Activa saying “Porter takes care of all hassles that working alone causes. I get constant trips and earn a good income. If a mini truck driver has to increase his earnings and wants to embark on the path to success then he should definitely try out the Porter platform.”
Boopathy Raj, the winner from Chennai added “I joined Porter one year ago and so far it has been a great journey in terms of earnings and job satisfaction. The event included felicitation, food, fun and family. It was held across all the cities beginning with an inaugural speech followed by presentation of hundreds of awards; team games, scrumptious food available in vegetarian and non-vegetarian options and beverages.
It was attended en-mass by all our partners, Pan India, again supported in great numbers by their friends and family. The event, we can safely conclude was a grand success, warmly appreciated by partners and their families alike. We look forward to holding many such events to seal this lifelong bond based on mutual respect, trust and appreciation! Because that is how families are formed and relationships managed.
